What is a Dental implant?
Think of a dental implant as a high-tech replacement tooth. This tooth mimics the whole tooth structure, including its root. We use a titanium “root” and snugly insert into the bone which is used to support “tooth” by way of a crown, bridge or denture. These implants look, feel and perform like a real tooth and can last a lifetime when properly cared for.
When would i need an implant?
Implants are a great solution for those who have missing teeth, or have broken or decayed teeth that might be beyond repair. This technology is also a great solution if you are uncomfortable with your dentures, partial denture, or have a bridge.
Check with your dentist to see if implants are a possibility to solving your tooth issues. Recent advances in diagnostics and bone reconstruction have made it so that most patients can receive implants, even if in the past you were told that you are not a candidate due to insufficient bone or had certain health conditions or habits.
Dental implants using 3d technology
Need a dentist that can perform dental implants from beginning to end in one location? Utilizing our CBCT technology, we are able to create a 3D X-ray of your teeth. Not only does this let us diagnose things that can be hard to see in traditional 2-Dimensional X-rays, it also allows for us to precisely plan out where your implant will be placed. This information also allows us to create a surgical guide to make sure that your procedure is as painless as possible and helps ensure great results, both for aesthetics and function. If you are curious if dental implants are something that you should consider, ask our professional staff for more information.
an alternative to traditional braces
Epic Dental is a proud provider of clear aligner straightening by SureSmile (similar to Invisalign if you are familiar with that name). We have seen this system create beautiful smiles by improving both aesthetics and confidence. Traditional orthodontics may not be ideal for all people since brackets can be noticeable and hard to keep clean. With our clear aligner therapy, you are able to wear nearly invisible trays throughout the day! Plus, you are able to remove them and eat with no food restrictions and are still able to keep your teeth clean and healthy.
Many people choose to use clear aligners over traditional orthodontics as the aligners lead to a gentle treatment with less soreness and often produce the final result in less time than traditional braces. The treatment consists of your dentist making a a comprehensive plan that is made custom for your teeth. This plan includes multiple trays made to gently reposition your teeth which over time will create straighter teeth and an Epic Smile.
We can give you an option that fits your budget and needs. Call us today and see if SureSmile is right for you.
